தமிழ் நா ட்டில் தற்போது நீ ட் தேர்விற்கு பயந்து கொண்டு சில மாணவர்கள்  தற்கொலை செய்து கொள்கின்றனர். இப்படி பட்ட நிகழ்வுகள் ஏன் ஏற்படுகின்றன என்று ஆராய்வது அவசியமாகும். ஒரு தேர்வு உயிர் கொல்லுமா என்று தெளிவாக தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். அப்போது தான் இன்னும் பல உயிர் போகாமல் தடுக்க முடியும்.

போட்டி தேர்வு கள் தவிர்க்க முடியாத கால கட்டத்தில் நாம் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டு இருக்கிறோம். எல்லாம் வணிக மயமாகிவிட்ட உலகில், நம் வாழ்க்கையை வணிக சூழல் தீர்மானிக்கும் நிலை எப்படி ஏற்பட்டது. மக்கள் நல அரசுகள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும், அரசு கள் பெரு நிறுவனங்கள் கொடுக்கும் நன்கொடை களை பெற்று கொண்டு அவர்களின் வணிக தேவை களை பூர்த்தி செய்து கொள்ள அனுமதி அளிக்கின்றன.

Education is a team work.To nututre and develop a child into a grown up individual we need to work in teams.First of all the team must be formed between students and teachers. A team between teachers is also a must.  In today's world a cut throat competition exists in schools among students as well as teachers to excel in their results.How to form effective teams of performing teachers. It is the perorogative of the principal to form teams and allow the teams to function independently to achieve the objectives of the team.Colloboration between team teachers is pre condition for the success of the teams. The principal of the school must believe in unite and win rather than divide and rule.The cohesive forces between the team members must be promoted and exploited to the maximum level so that the school will be benefited.

Education quality-Examination preparation

What is the main purpose of schooling? Is schooling only to prepare the boys/girls to write the examination. In that case examination becomes the sovereignty of schools. In one of the schools of my locality my relative girl is studying XI standard in CBSE stream.She asked me why she has been put into examination daily.Nowadays teachers, parents and principals believe that only examination will drive students towards learning. In general test or examination are conducted to know what is understood by the students in the learning process. Examination can also be used as a tool for learning if properly used. Every examination should meet certain standards to improve upon the quality of learning. Examination cannot become a drudgery and become a laughing stock. During the course of schooling students should be trained to participate in the examination like they participate in sports and games. Examinations are useful to evaluate the students whether they are coming in the right track towards achieving the said objectives.

How to define education quality .In Tamil nadu a number of engineering colleges are not attractiing enough number of students in recent years.why they are not attractiing the enough students.How parents and students select the institutions.did they know about the quality of education services provided by the engineering colleges.many students and parents seek some of engineering colleges mainly because of the placements provided the institution that is job arranging potential of the institution. Is  job arranging the only function of the engineering colleges. The function of an higher education institution is not only developing the individual for the job market.The institution should provide opportunities for research and development projects at the institute.A quality institution should provide an atmosphere of all types of activities that aim to develop the human as a whole who will innovate many products and processes that will covert the globe into a better place for living.

In schools or colleges text books are necessary to teach a particular subject. How text books are written various levels of classes.whate is the difference between the text books and reference books. In text books a set of learning outcomes is drawn up for each chapter and the content is selected for each chapter to achieve the objectives. The list of tables and list of figures are selected for each chapter.The questions for each chapter are selected.The list of references are also added at the end of the chapter.

Education quality--why schooling​

Recently one of the topper of the IIT JEE Advanced revealed that he went to school only upto 10th standard and he studied 11th and 12th by home schooling and got the certificate from NIOS. Is it correct that a student clearing a national level examination without going to school.Then what is the purpose of schools.what are the benefits a student gets from the school.what values are added by the school to the students. Can a home replace the school.These are some of the questions arises in my mind. First of all the particular student isn't exposed to the classroom learning atmosphere,the dynamic situation of the school, interactive ambience in the school, sports participation,and many more valuable inputs from the school.By escaping from the school, what is the use of clearing the JEE Advanced and joining the premier institute. Let us not carried away by the race of joining the premier institutes​ without schooling.

Tamil nadu is witnnessing a sea of changes inthe school education field.To avoid the competition among students and to avoid stress among students of the school community it has done away with the ranking system.The government has also decided to revise the syllabus of all classes from Kto12 for all subjects.The whole purpose of revamp of the school education system is to improve the quality of the school students.The term quality is an elusive concept and it means different things to different people.How to improve the quality of of students, how-to improve the quality of of schools is not an one shot affair.It will be the result of continuous improvement of the school or college by all stakeholders including the government and the society in which the system is functioning.
